After studying English at university, Nell Pattison became a teacher and specialised in Deaf education. She has been teaching in the Deaf community for 12 years in both England and Scotland, working with students who use British Sign Language. Nell began losing her hearing in her twenties, but still refuses to wear her hearing aids. She lives in North Lincolnshire with her husband where they recently welcomed their first child.
Nell’s debut novel, The Silent House, is the first in a series to feature Paige Northwood, a BSL interpreter who becomes embroiled in a murder investigation after a friend’s daughter is found dead. Avon purchased world rights and they plan to publish The Silent House in the spring of 2020.
Nell Pattison is represented by Juliet Mushens at Caskie Mushens.
