Marc Peirson
While at university studying for an English Degree, Mark wrote his first play, The Virgin’s Kiss, which sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for its one week run and was invited to stay as part of the official festival.
He later wrote a children’s book in verse, The White Feather Cloak, bought by Dorling Kindersley and a futher sixty verse book, King, which was bought by the Bertelsman group and sold with a computer adventure game based on the narratives.
As a novelist writing as Mark Pearson, he has written six books in the Jack Delaney Series: Hard Evidence, Blood Work, Death Row, Murder Club, The Killing Season and Blood Stone.
Mark is also the co-writer of Private London with James Patterson. It was the second title in the detective series by Patterson called Private, and was published in hardback by Cornerstone in June 2011. The book went straight to number 1 in the Sunday Times bestseller lists and the paperback was published in January 2012.
In addition to his novel writing he has been a full time and multi-award nominated television scriptwriter, writing as Marc Peirson. He has over fifteen years of experience on a variety of shows including Doctors, Emmerdale, Eastenders and Holy City. His nominations include Best Episode of the Year at the British Soap Awards, a Royal Television Society Award and a Golden Rose at the Rose D’Or Festival in Switzerland.
