Francesca Haig is a novelist, poet and academic. She is the author of The Fire Sermon (2015), The Map of Bones (2016), and The Forever Ship (2017) - a post-apocalyptic trilogy published in more than 20 languages.
Francesca grew up in Tasmania, and lives in London. She gained her PhD at the University of Melbourne, and is a Visiting Writing Fellow at the University of Chester, where she previously worked as Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader in Creative Writing. Her first collection of poetry was Bodies of Water (2006), and her poetry and prose have been published in many literary journals and anthologies in both Australia and England. In 2010 she was awarded a Hawthornden Fellowship.
Rights to The Fire Sermon have sold in more than 20 territories, largely at auction, with film rights pre-empted by Dreamworks.
