After graduating from university with a degree in Mental Health, Ali spent a decade working as a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nurse in both hospitals and schools in the UK and Australia.
Rights to Good Me Bad Me, her debut novel, sold in twenty-two territories around the world. Penguin published it in the UK in 2017, and it entered the Sunday Times bestseller list in its first week of sales.
Good Me Bad Me was short-listed for the John Creasey Dagger, short-listed twice for Dead Good Reader Awards, short-listed for the Glass Bell Award for Contemporary Fiction and won Book Of The Year at Heat magazine Unmissable Awards. It was named one of the Telegraph’s Crime Books of the Year in 2017 and chosen for Richard and Judy’s Book Club.
Following publication in the US, by Flatiron, Good Me Bad Me was reviewed as a New York Times Editors choice and selected by Target as the October 2018 Book Club pick.
Ali is now a full-time writer, based in West London, and is currently working on her second novel.
